Rear window tint bubbling!
My rear window tint is beginning to bubble around the defroster wires. It is unsightly.
I took it to a window tint guy while I was getting detailed yesterday and he told me he wasn't able/comfortable doing it because removing the tint can pull off the defroster unit. I've never heard of this with any car I've had before. Anyone else run into this or have any advice besides look for another vendor?

Yes it's a concern, pros shouldn't be worried about that though. Find a better dealer at least to get it removed then go wherever you want to replace it. FYI good tint should last years, don't go cheap it's only $200ish to do a whole car in lifetime warrantied tint at most shops.

Yeah, I didn't put the tint on - the previous owner did, but that was probably six years ago - I'm not terribly surprised that over this time it is beginning to bubble.
