I am assuming this vehicle has M-Sport options and the sport package.

Well then I guess I got screwed when I bought my car. I assumed that the seats, shift knob, steering wheel, shadow line, black exhaust tips were M sport.

Didn't know headliner and door sills were parts that make a BMW a real M.

Oh well. I guess my car is now not an M package

From my understanding the M-Sport seats and sport seats are the same.

Its interesting you had all the M-sport options but no headliner and door stills.

I can answer this question for you. In 2008 and 2009 there was no "m sport package" it was just called the sports package. They're almost the same though. The only difference is when they later changed the name and called it the m sports package, they added M door sills and the anthracite headliner.

The black exhaust tips are standard though on any 135.

So, the sports package in 2008 and 2009 added the sport seats (same as what's in the m sport package), the shadowline trim, m steering wheel, and m shift knob (if you got it in manual). Didn't change anything mechanically and still doesn't on m sport package and also, while it doesn't apply in your case, if it was in auto/dct, there was no special m knob either.

Hope that clears that up. Was just a subtle difference over time in what they called the sports package and what it included.

Just to clarify, sport pkg on a 128 was $1300 and consisted of:
1. 17" wheels w/performance tires
2. sport seats
3. sport suspension
4. shadowline trim
no "M" wheel or shift knob
