Engine shuts off while driving,

Sunday afternoon , heading home when my engine looses power, engine service light comes on , few seconds after loose power steering and brakes. The good thing I was driving on the street , and managed to pull to the side of the street, would of been scary as f*ck on the freeway

Service advisor calls today and says it's the fuel pump that's has failed , due my car being suelv it was covered . NA engines fuel pump prematurely go out as well.

2011 BMW 128i N51 engine , 110,*** miles on it.

There is a recall on the battery cable that might causes lost of power. Have you replaced that already.

Yes I had it done , thanks for the input.

Was this the first time the fuel pump was ever changed? According to Turner and others, fuel pumps should be swapped out anywhere between 60-80K.

Yes this was the first time it was replaced , but recently the new pump they installed failed again in less than a month , and they replaced it a second time. Car is in the dealership for rough idle but not sure what is causing the rough idle.
