Wheel discoloration
What's the best way to recondition wheels like this? The "rash" damage is not tremendous as can be seen. However, what's there is discoloration and not dirty. These are as clean as I can get them, including using Sonax brake dust cleaner.
Thoughts?

If you want to fix the road rash at the same time, you might want to consider a wheel repair shop. The guy my dealer uses does some amazing work. He worked on my 261M wheels after the monkeys at Costco gouged the crap out of them. The wheel repair guy fixed the gouges and as part of the process refinished the entire wheel. Can't tell that anything was ever done to them except if you knew what to look for.

You should pay a visit to a wheel repair shop.

I removed some very ugly brake dust stains on some wheels I bought using steel wool - very carefully - and as mentioned, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
The Mr. Clean Eraser is excellent for removing little stains in your paint also. |
