Hi Everyone, I've been visiting this forum for a while, but have just now made an account since it's time to part with my 2009 BMW 128i in Crimson Red, with the super fun 6 speed manual. I moved out west temporarily for work and got the car for while I was here. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it, and would love to keep it, but a RWD convertible just isn’t what I need for the Boston winter I’m headed back to.

The good:

The car is in excellent mechanical condition. It comes with a stack of service records including $3000 of work from June to replace the oil pan gasket, oil filter gasket, and valve cover gasket, which as you all know solves the three main issues with these engines. Hasn’t lost a drop of oil since. I Just had the regular brake fluid flush done to get it ready to sell. It has never failed smog, and is still covered by BMW’s 15 year/150,000 mile SULEV program. Not a spec of rust. Shocks and bushings are all tight and in good shape. Convertible top works perfectly, A/C blows ice cold.

It is optioned with i-drive navigation, the cold weather package, a trunk pass-through, electric adjustable heated seats and steering wheel, and the interior wood trim package. It also comes with a $400 spare tire kit from bimmerworks, so you are not limited to the stock runflats.


The not so good:

It has its share of minor cosmetic issues on the exterior. Dings, scrapes, curb-rashed wheels, etc. all from a previous owner. It could use a new set of tires, there’s plenty of tread, but they’re date stamped 2016, so I figured I’d let the new owner choose their preference.
