Here is what I show for your vin. I see the S6FLA but not the 6VC combox. That leads me to believe you need the 3000B with both usb @ the headphone jack.

Can you connect your iPhone to play music via the USB or do you need the Y cable?

Sorry to hear about the issues with your 1er. Hope you are able to get it cleared up by the friendly tech.

Report back after you find out what's going on. Hope it's a simple fix like needing new plugs.
