P2096 and P2196 issues (2008 128i)

Recently, I replaced my eccentric shaft sensor, and with the error code for that, I also had p2096.

P2096: Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 1

I figured that since the valvetronic was malfunctioning, fixing the sensor would fix this issue too. I was wrong.

I still have P2096, along with P2196:

P2196: O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Rich (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

Furthermore, I drove it around a bit and monitored both ST and LT fuel trims, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Has anyone else had these two codes? Any recommended fixes or diagnostic?

Thanks.

I have that same code. It came on a week after I bought the car. I bought it at the end of September. The used BMW dealership that I bought it at wants to start changing O2 sensors until it goes away. It's not the way I want to go about it.
