M3 Rear Subframe Bushings
I was going to go ahead and upgrade my suspension with the Bilstein B12 kit before I saw a lot of talk about people suggesting replacing the rear subframe bushings with the M3 bits as the first suspension upgrade on the car. Of course all the people I see doing this upgrade are almost all exclusively 135i owners complaining about the rear wobble in lower gears.
The cost of the bushings are easy to swallow but for mechanically unskilled people like myself, the labor cost seems a bit ridiculous for bushings. What is everyone elses' take on the M3 bushings? For us 128i owners who are putting down less power than a 135i, is the money worth it? The reason I ask is because I only have the money right now to do one or the other and I'm trying to figure out which will put a bigger smile on my face. |

You can always do it yourself, HP Autowerks rents the tool. I did it fairly recently and I can't believe I waited this long. The mod isn't about power application(though it certainly helped), it is about overall stability and predictability.
What's the shop asking for labor $$$?
