This may be a stupid question...but advice needed?

So flame suit on....... I'm not familiar with these cars like most of you guys. A couple weeks ago I swapped out my rear differiential.

So today after driving home out of habit I guess, I got under the car just to visually look at everything like the drain plug, etc.

I heard this noise that sounded like a tiny air compressor or pump running. I traced it to the passenger side rear, and just got started looking around and it then abruptly quit on its on.....kind of like a pump raising something to a certain level, then cycling off.

This was within minutes of turning the car off. Is it a pump priming itself...maybe fuel pump.....something else?

Just curious. I was thinking at first it sounded like a magnetic suspension shock adjusting itself.

Any explanation is welcome.

Thanks!

Thank you.

So I'm assuming it's supposed to cycle like that? I will research what it specifically does, just looking for peace of mind at the moment.

I've only had it maybe a month, butI've grown quite fond of this little car!

Totally normal. If it finds a problem it'll tell you with a nice check engine light (the car on the lift) upon the next startup.
