I don't know if he will ever get voted to the HOF, but here are some of his records to chew on.

NFL records

Career
Most passing attempts through 100 starts
Most consecutive road games with at least one touchdown pass: 41 (2009 – present)
Highest QB Rating in month of December (133.7)
Highest QB Rating in 4th quarter
Most games with 135+ passer rating in a season (6)

Dallas Cowboys team records

Career
Dallas Cowboys career leader in passing touchdowns and passing yards
Games with 3+ touchdown passes: 40; previously held by Danny White (20)
Games with 300+ yards passing: 46; previously held by Troy Aikman (13)
Career passing yards: 33,626, previously held by Aikman (32,942)
Lowest career interception percentage: 2.6% (minimum 16 starts; previously held by Aikman with 3.0)
Touchdown passes: 245 (previously held by Aikman with 165)
Most 4th Quarter Comebacks/Game-winning drives (28) -(Previously held by Roger Staubach with 23)
Consecutive games with a TD pass: 38 (2012–2014); previously held by Romo (20, 2010–11)

Season
Games with 300+ yards passing: 9 (2012); previously held by Romo (8 – 2009)
Passing TDs: 36 (2007); previously held by Danny White (29)
Passing yards: 4,903 (2012); first and only Cowboys' quarterback to throw for more than 4,000 yards in a season (2007, 2009, 2011, 2012)
Completions: 405 (2012); previously held by Romo with (347–2009)
Attempts: 611 (2012); previously held by Romo (550–2009)
First quarterback in franchise history to average over 300 passing yards a game in a season (306.4 – 2012)

Game
Romo has twice thrown 5 TD passes in a game (Nov 23, 2006 and October 6, 2013) a record he shares with Troy Aikman (September 12, 1999.)
On Dec 21, 2014, Romo completed a team record 90.0% of his passes (18 of 20) in a home game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Most passing yards in a game, 506 yards against the Denver Broncos on October 6, 2013.
The most important stat Tony Romo's playoff record 2-6 !!!!

Sorry to break it to you but he's a regular season stat stuffer but when it comes to crunch time he chokes and has always been known for that. Regular season stat stuffer QB are plentiful, but those who wins when it counts are rare.

As a die-hard Cowboys fan, I still worry this is going to end badly.

Romo is one of my favorite athletes ever. He's such a classy guy. Yes Dak and the 'Boys are fun to watch right now, but it just doesn't feel the same without Romo behind the helm (and I'm not even a Cowboys fan). I hope he find a new team and succeeds beyond his wildest dreams.

If anything, he should get back on the field so the memes can start rolling in again.

I cant wait to hear where he ends up. I think denver said they will NOT be trading for him. He could do well there.. or their qb just needs more time to grow.

This man was a great player and probably had the most natural talent in the league. I hope he lands on a team I like so i can root for him.

What in the fuck?!?! I saw you had commented in here and really wanted to go after you but goddam, so sensible and actually know what you are talking about.

Really hoping he lands somewhere that will put him in a position to win. If he had been healthy this season, he would have done great with the oline and zeke. All he ever needed was some protection up front and a defense that didnt allow 30 points a game.

Tony is like a family member to Jerry. He wouldn't do that to him. I could see Tony staying in area and going down to Houston. Playing a few years before retiring. Then going back up to Dallas and finding a position on the coaching staff. Also rumors of him restructuring his contract and staying with the team.

As A Chargers and Raiders Fan, I really hope he doesn't find his way onto the Denver Roster.

I hope Miami gets him. Great WR's and Fla. has no income tax. Then Maybe the Fish will beat the Patsies 2x a year like the old days.

That's a pretty shitty thing to say or do. It ain't happening regardless.

The Jones Family love the guy! They would grant his wish to be traded to a contender.
I can see him restructuring his contract to remain. I can see him retiring from play and joining the staff.
There is a scenario of a straight trade to Houston for JJ Watt. Which makes sense both ways.

Not sure where he'll end up as Denver reported that they aren't interested in him. Miami has too much money invested on a average QB, he would probably rather retire than play for the Browns. Bears? Jets? San Fran? Those are all disaster franchises and I cannot see him going to either of those teams.
