Rusty oil pan - corrosion warranty?
Will a rusty oil pan be covered by bmws 12 year anti corrosion warranty?

Pretty sure that only applies to the body. What kind of rust do you have on your pan? Got pics?
I believe it also requires recording of annual corrosion inspections by a dealership. |

My 6MT rusty steel pan was replaced with an aluminum pan from a 128i with an automatic.

I did my Al pan swap summer of 24, it was quite bad, didn't leak, but a simple tap test, and the crack was very close to forming... enjoy the images. I went due to timing with a Amazon China pan, aside from a bent oil sensor bolt, which I swapped out as I wanted the car back on the road, the fit was perfect. Enjoy the images. no vanos bolt in the pan, and my car was not in the recall list...140K km on it, of which 60K kms, are spirited use.
