It doesn't HAVE to be true.

Regardless, there's many more on there that are far more entrenched in the psyche of the average consumer. I doubt most BMW owners actually know "The Ultimate Driving Machine" based upon my discussions with BMW-owning friends and acquaintances.

Anybody who's driven a Porsche, Ferrari or Lotus must certainly find BMW's false slogan entertaining...

And a failure at that, as your friends can't remember it!
