1 Series at Houston Auto Show?

Okay..So we all know the 1 series will make its debut at the NAIAS, which is in January. I was wondering whether it will be at the Houston Auto Show in late January to early February.

Houston is a dealer show - not a manufacturers show. It will probably be at Chicago next after Detroit.

The Chicago auto show is in Feb. That's a long time to wait

i'll be at the detroit show and be sure to take plenty of pics if we haven't seen better shots by then...

So with the car not appearing in a N/A show until January in Detroit, does the March 22nd realease date still seem to be correct? or will it be later than that?

heh - try philly. I heard that we are getting the Lincoln Blackwood concept this year.

And - get this - there is a new brand called A-C-U-R-A. Wild.

Koren sports car? Named after a shark? Not in my lifetime....

Ah - he's lamenting the fact that Philly, like most US car shows, is a 'dealer show' - which means they get the leftovers, last years concepts (or several years old concepts - hell they're still trotting out the Chrysler Atlantique in KC ; -) and whatever the 'Buy-Here, Pay-Here' Suzuki place can polish up and put next to the Ford Five Hu . . ., errr, Taurus. Sad fact of life that most US auto shows are rackets run by dealers' associations to take your money and let you peek at their wares.

But I still go to them. ; -)

Good to know. I'm never going to a dealer show again. Big waste IMO. Seattle is one of those sad shows. Might as well drive around to local car dealers, cuz its the same thing.

The E46 330i Performance Package made its debut at the LA show in Dec 02, and it was shown at the Houston show in Jan/Fab 03. The 1er might be there.
