Great pics Shane and Felicity

Shame I was the only AWOL 1M for the first day lunch

I think we need enough walkie talkies for one in each car as phone networks are crap in Wales

When is the IOM trip then

Yeah there were 4 of us with walkie talkies of different makes, but we easily managed to match the frequencies. The only reason we didn't use them for long was that Shane's set was undercharged and my set's rechargeable batteries were too old to hold their charge. But yes, if some of you buy another couple of sets which cost less than £50 a pair, would be great for the next trip.

I reckon IOM before end of the year. Roads don't get treacherous as the temperatures don't go to extremes given that it's surrounded by sea. I was there during the midst of winter and I could comfortably push it.

Video of my IOM trip - excuse the music

Just keep hold of the vids. I'm sure I will hook up with you at a meet sometime and I can bring my laptop to transfer!

Just found someone's walkie talkie in my car. Marcus/Shane I believe this must be either of yours?

It's mine, hang on to it. I'll pick it up together with my camera mount the next time we meet. Cheers.

Really beautiful photos Shane/Felicity, colours are great and I love the action shots. Really brought the experience back to me in sad contrast to the disgusting experience of the train commute to London to work today. Ugh

Pity we were all too busy trying to scrape past that sheep transporter Mark met head on at speed on that single track to capture that particular moment

Anyway, still seething from the ding to my wheel arch from that idiot who parked next to me at the hotel in Betws-y-coed but otherwise think I got off lightly. It was just a great first experience of 'proper' driving.

...And I think the correct answer to the 'strange lady who asked why we all had the same car' is just that the 1M is so brilliant you'd be a fool not to! (although obviously the M3 is brilliant too Marcus)...

My wife was filming on her phone just as we went around the bend, so you can see Mark's rear lights flashing like crazy and a big blue thing coming towards us. Then Mark reversing in a hurry!

And we was just talking about inconsiderate fools hitting your car in carparks, maybe a visit to Lee is in order

Marcus, you're not the same guy I once met up with back in 2007 for a midnight blast around hampshire/sussex are you? Did you own a R32? I had a CSL back then.

Simon! Yes, it's me lol! I do remember the passenger ride in your CSL. Welcome to bimmerpost!

Sorry to hear about that ding, but at least it's easily repairable. I believe my video cam caught all of us trying to squeeze past. Will try and include that in my video.

A real stark contrast isn't it, coming back to London. At least the West country or Wales is close enough to escape for the weekend.

It was bad enough driving smack bang into the middle of London Sunday evening on the way back, wasn't expecting the traffic I hit after 9pm made worse by all the heavy rain......I really wanted to turn around and head back to Wales lol

Yes ironic, but as car was dirty did not notice until our second stop (and the perpetrator left before breakfast - now I know why).
The VO (as scraped down to metal) seems to be very difficult to colour blend, gave Lee a headache last time, but nevermind it's just another blemish to add to the collection.

Some people hey, no respect!

Lee is always up for a challenge, I throw many his way lol

I started filling in the massive chip to one of the spokes on my wheel, a huge big chunk down to the metal, gonna be interesting how I will match the hyper black, first dollop to fill in the crater was titanium silver, tonight I will mix the titanium with gloss black and see what it comes up like over a few coats......

Ever thought of a change and a nice wrap? now that will protect the paint work some
