Storing Michelin PSS in winter

Are there any issues with storing the Michelin PSS tires in a non-climate controlled garage that can see up to -20 degrees celsius in temps? I read somewhere a owner complained that his tires froze in his garage over winter and made an awful noise when he used them again in the spring as a result.

While the PSS is not an Extreme Performance Summer tire, this article offers some insight into the thought process of storing these types of tires in very cold temps.

What I got from that article was that if the tires are stored somewhere cold then as long as they are allowed to gradually warm up they are okay.

I stored my summers in an unheated garage. But , the temps in this area never get below 10 F in the Winter. I never had an issue.
