HEXON RR600 Turbos for Sale

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Hi everyone,

Hexon RR600 turbos that were on my 135i for about 500 miles. I had them recently inspected by a turbo builder in town who said it would be a straight forward rebuild. Looks like the compressor wheels may need to be replaced. Turbine wheels are solid.

These were $3200 new at the time. Sold my 135i a while back.

Price: $800

Did you buy these new? Curious why they they have shaft play but no warranty within 500 miles to get them fixed?

On the Hexon site they had a drop-down option for the turbos:

Spy Hunter smoke effect: √ YES NO

Bought new and the company folded unfortunately. They’ve been sitting in my closet for some time after I sold my 135i, but I’m sure someone can get them to work solidly. Plenty of potential.

Not quite sure what doesn’t add up. There is shaft play and as stated they were smoking upon install, and need to be rebuilt and/or looked over with a skilled eye. The company went belly up, so I had no way of sending them back to get repaired or new ones sent to me. PURE was willing to take these in at one point to help out the people with Hexon issues, but I sold my 135i and bought an M4. At a minimum, they are good cores. Alternatively, they get fixed and someone has a solid upgrade.

You could probably put a turbine in a Krispy Kreme donut and get less smoke.
