New UK VO owner :)

Good afternoon guys and girls. Just thought i would introduce myself. UK owner from Newcastle upon tyne I picked up my VO 1M on tuesday the 27th so i've not had it long.

For the past 2 years I've owned 2 E92 M3's (one jerez black manual and one AW DCT) I loved the E92 and s65 (both at Evolve stage 2 aswell) but with petrol prices rising and depreciation starting to hit the E92 i thought it was time to jump.

obviously in the near future ill be writing a comparo between the 2. Initial impressions of the 1M are of TORQUE. haha driving val is alot easier on a daily basis than the M3. I miss the v8 roar but the I6 twin turbo has a bark of its own. The car initially feels alot lighter, more eager on turn in and in general much more special.. ive had the performance kidney grills fitted and the performance pedals. N55 midpipe to be fitted next week.

hopefully akraprovic+ wireless and stage 2 evolve, slek/varis front lip and possibly a carbon skin for the roof.

anyhow a quick hello

-ho

couple of quick pics of my previous m3's and my val

my AW M3

saying goodbye to Marilyn and picking up Val

Congrats and welcome!

I also had a E90 M3 before and I a totally agree with the pros/cons 1M vs E9x M3.

Akra would be a nice mod for me as well.

Keep us posted.

Cheers
Robin

Sorry I knew I'd forget something. Spec off the top of my head:

1 previous owner
7k miles
Electric folding mirrors
Lumbar
Heated seats
Harman kardon
High gloss shadow line
Connected drive with USB
Professional sat nav
Dab
Privacy glass
Voice control
Mobile phone prep
Rear pdc (don't know if that's an optional extra can remember sorry)
Storage pack

I think that rounds it up. Fairly well specced

I've owned 3 M3's being 2 e46, one with 700hp Supercharger and an E92 Stage 2 AA and I can tell you the 1M is better than all in almost all aspects. It can't beat the V8 monster sound but in the rest it's all better.

Let's hope you won't get banned for this, mate.

Actually I liked the 6 cylinder sound of my ex E46 M3 better than the crossplane V8 sound of my ex E90 M3.

I prefer flatplane V8 sounds(Ferrari) or higher displacement crossplane V8 sounds( AMG/Corvette) but never was a big fan of the M3 V8 sound and behaviour as a daily. Sorry.

Needless to say I think my N54 1M sounds 'better'(or at least the exhaust does, but a straight six does sound awesome anyway) than the M3 V8

Cheers

In a way I agree. The s65 doesn't throb and splutter like a traditional v8 should but when your chasing 8200 Rpm, no one can complain about the noise it makes. Coupled with the evolve valve tronic exhaust it made a very good noise.

I'm looking forward to getting the 1m on track and a good B road blast.

Ps: thanks for the reply"s guys

Welcome and nice 1! Looking forward to seeing it progress, going by your E92 it looks like it won't stay stock for long.
