Sick of the drone
So I've got AR resonated kitty free downpipes, factory mid pipes/resonator/cat and then a BMW performance exhaust, not dinan like my sig says.
I get a ton of drone/rattle/vibration in the exhaust system and I would very much like for this to go away. I like the style of the factory exhaust with the flapper system. I do not want a loud exhaust all the time, like when I'm cruising, etc. I just want it to bark when I floor it. Is there a preferred exhaust for a setup like this? |

Berk midpipes really smoothed the tone out on my car, the OE midpipes are pretty junk IMO. The Berk’s will add some volume though, they’re def. louder than the OE N54 mids, and you’d be going full catless so there is the increased smell and possible smoke to consider.

I have catless DPs with stock midpipes/axleback. No drone, but obviously it's very quiet. Maybe aftermarket midpipe with stock axle back would be a nice combo?

Is staying catless a requirement? I haven't got a ton of knowledge of other systems, but I've got my stock N55 DPs / mids and the Maddad Street Series axle-back. It's obnoxious at cold start-up (I like, wife doesn't). When it's warm and below 3000 rpm, it's pleasant (louder than stock, nice gurgle, no drone), but above 3000 rpm, it really starts to sound great (fairly loud, higher-pitch, still no drone!).
Cheers, Bryan

Double check to see if the exhaust is touching anything and causing the vibration. I have downpipes to a full straight exhaust and dont even get drone
