Nice upgrade! I love the Homelink and auto dim on mine. The auto dim is subtle but it really works well I think.

Not hard at all, took like 2 minutes. Just be careful pulling the shifter off lol

I love it too! I got addicted to all the features in my parents' F10. Getting rid of my crusty garage door opener nice too.

I wish the comfort access retrofit weren't prohibitively expensive.

I hate you. It took me far too long to figure out how to get the dome light assy out. I pulled both visors so I could get in from the windshield side.

I got boost by gear working again.
For some reason using the automatic option of boost by gear quit working. So now I have to pick the manual option which is load by gear. But it works. I'll fine tune it on the lake Sunday.
I want to try playing with slip angles too.

I cracked part of the assembly trying to figure out how to remove it. Luckily the white frosted piece covers the damage

I see a bunch of mirrors for sale on ebay. What sort of wiring adapter do I need?

It's slightly shorter and thicker with alcantara material. It feels nicer in your hand. But yes, it's mostly just a marketing term. While it is much nicer than the stock shifter, I probably wouldn't spend the money on it if your oem one is fine. But since mine was bubbling at the top, I figured it was a worthwhile upgrade

I like the look, too. It's cool how the alcantara flows from the knob down to the boot, a very continuitous design. No performance gains, other than selecting reverse just a little bit quicker.

It was awful, I had no idea how the clips worked so I ripped a chunk of it off trying to pry it out.
