Cool 135i Style 359 reps fitment

Accidentally posted this in the 1M section before, sorry:

Hello all, so i've got a 2011 135i currently on stock sport suspension.

My friend is selling his style 359 replica wheels off his E46 M3

the fitment is :
19 x 8.5 et 35
19 x 9.5 et 40

tires are 225/40 and 255/35

We tried fitting them on my car, I rubbed heavily. I'm not too great when it comes to offsets/tire size, but is there anything I can do to make them fit?

I've always loved CSL style wheels, and I know the 1 series requires some strange offsets, so if i can't make these fit, any recommendations?

Thank you guys

Sorry, I think the offsets are too aggressive. You already have stock sized tires (225/255), so I wouldn't recommend going smaller just to stretch the tires enough to not rub. You could try 245 in the rear. You can pull/shave your fenders.

More negative camber, though that might require hardware changes, is really needed. You're on stock suspension, so m3 arms and dinan plates at a minimum imo.

Are your sizes correct? If so, it's the tires that are also an issue. That's 1.2" inches larger in diameter than stock. You'd need a 255/30/19 to get closer. I'm sure that's not helping.

255/35/19 is a 26" diameter tire that's 10" wide

Factory is 245/35/18 which is 24.8" and 9.6" wide.

All that said, those offsets are aggressive as hell and probably won't fit without some serious fender work.

Every wheel manufacturer on the planet makes a wheel that looks like that, though. It'll be easy to find a proper fitting replacement.

As said above, the taller tire isn’t helping your rubbing issues one bit.

Get a set of proper offset and size wheels and you’ll be much happier with less headaches

May sound like an ass, but I really don't understand the draw some people have to running ridiculous spec wheels and tires when they KNOW the shit will absolutely not fit, even with heavy modification. Just find a set that fits the car, it's not like they aren't out there..
