^ The threads were locked before the deal could be worked out. It's a conspiracy bro! All kidding aside, it would be cool if 1addicts and BMWNA did come together to provide us NA owners an official and revered numbers plaque of some sort.

Actually the thread got to about 10 pages before the mods basically said, 'we're trying to handle this. Stay tuned'.

I didn't imply/feel there was any conspiracy. I guess you were not part of that thread and this is why you would assume I was implying something along those lines.

Instead of typing all that out ( I guess I just postponed it ) I gave you a rabbit and a pancake.

I think the last word was pretty much, we're on hold until NA production ceases and then thing's will move forward with a final number

Exactly.

MusclezMan, the only thing new is the prototype sticker that I had made pictured a few posts back on the last page to gauge interest in that. Of course the plaque modeled after the UK version would be nice but a bit more and would take longer but still doable.

Why not just do our actual VIN number? I'd be interested in some sort of Mini GP style graphic, 1M 0496 or whatever.

Question Still interested?

Thought I would bump this thread with the official US count for the 1M's released. The options are a UK style plaque, France style window sticker or 1series Start button(engraved). All of them would have to be a generic ONE of 740 because the Canadian and US VIN are mixed together so until the registry is complete, it is impossible to tell what number your vehicle is in the sequence for US cars at this point.

First choice is plaque with the ring being a close close second.
Can you put a splash of color in either one as well?

Same here. Suggest it simply read "One of 740."

Thanks.

(1) Plaque, (2) window decal, (3) start button ring, in that order. Thanks.

Plaque then start button ring. Both should read "One of 740"

Would rather have the inscription say "2011 1 Series M Coupe"

I'm interested in the plaque or ring. Not interested in the sticker as I will be getting the windows tinted...

I'd prefer the ring first, plaque second.

M Pyrat ring is an other idea, it can be an additional item too, doesn't need to be mutually exclusive (in relation to a US plate e.g.). It could be used by anyone anywhere globally, preferably on a real 1M! I would like to have one if someone dares to produce using the OEM ring as the base. Everytime you start or stop the car you are going to remember the spirit and backstory of this amazing vehicle

I agree with these. Plaque 1st, Ring 2nd. A clean and simple just like the UK models "One of 740" as stated by Neil and ZCP M3

A ///M Plaque or Ring with One of 740 would be awesome. I would definitely buy one. Even better if we could use the registry to determine which rank, as I got one of the earlier ones (US Launch Day).

1. Ring

2. Plaque (where would this mount?)

3. Sticker

A key ring for the fob would also be cool.
