Here is how you can check if yours is pre-wired.

Look under the hood near the top where the hood seals to the engine bay on the driver side. You will see a wire attached and taped right next to the seal with a plastic cap on the plug. This is where the "hood switch" mounts to detect if someone tampers with the engine bay when locked.

The BMW factory alarm that I am selling does have a "shock sensor" that will detect if someone bumps into your car, or breaks a window. It even has a motion sensor that is mounted in the rear dome light.

Once the alarm is mounted, the "clown nose" below the rearview mirrow will blink when locked. Also, you will hear the alarm chirp when you lock/unlock the car.

WELL worth the $150 price I am asking. Ask anyone who has it.

I am not seeing such a cable under my hood. I read somewhere that if I bought the car after 03/09 then they will not come prewired. I just want to verify before spend the cash.

Let me go take a pic of it on my 1M. It has the alarm installed on it, and I can show you the wire I am talking about under the hood...
