yes.. it's common now that asking prices are actually north of the MSRP.

no, i don't expect the price to drop much below the original MSRP for low mileage originals... See BMW E36 lightweight and E46 M3 CSL.

Certainly in the next few years, some high mileage or salvage cars will be in the 30s...

note that it's taken a long time for the E9x M3 models to drop that far.. and tons of them were made.

Is that 30k pounds, as the location is England?

In the US there are relatively fewer cars considering population size. All indications are that we're unlikely to get much below MSRP, if at all. Honestly if prices come down to 40k I'd probably get another, and I've got friends in line who wished they hadn't missed the boat who'd likely do the same. So... US prices, no chance in hell.

Prices dropped to ± $1.

But good boys and girls might get one from Santa for free.

Purchased my 1M used 18 months ago for £38k and looking at the number and prices of 1M's available in the UK my car has actually increased in value as anything with similar spec and mileage to mine are now £40k.

Whether this lasts or not nobody knows but if I consider selling in 12 months it looks like 2.5 years of 1M ownership might just cost me nothing!

450 originally in the UK and I think there are now less than 390 left with some being written off and others exported....

Haven't decided if I'll sell my 1M next year, really don't know what I'd change into, guess with being a rare car at 450 rhd cars, should have quiet strong residual value,to keep it or not??? Recon you will pick up an abused or higher mileage car for under 30k,but you only get what you pay for.

In Sweden prices are constantly falling. From something like 75-85K USD when new, depending on options of course, they are now starting to come down to under 60K USD.
Normal depreciation in other words, which I like since I planning to buy one next year

But of course there are more cars per population in Sweden compared to UK and US. Still a very rare car though.

I just realized it was england so I have no idea, in the US I think it is a different story. In other countries it depreciates like a normal car, here they do not pretty much.

And I thought they spoke English in England, I don't know what language that is. My gf speaks 4 languages and English was not her first and she writes way better than that.
