Chinese New Year

Today was the big day in London for the Chinese New Year. The Year of the Ox. These celebrations were held in Trafalgar Square and to those who braved the weather also, I salute you!

These were all with a 1D mkI (classic) and a Canon EF 300 f4L non IS. I had a Sigma 1.4x TC in my pocket (not used in these pics).

Handles very well. A real nice combo providing there is enough light. Was lucky today but not entirely happy with my WB.

Wow great gear! The 1D is a great camera.

Thanks, well its been a great combo. Since its all old kit, its about 24 years old in total and cost me under £1k so for what it is vs what I paid, VERY happy.

Only downside is high ISO and 4mp is real tricky to work with.
