I'm excited and scared! I will be going to the BMW dealer tomorrow to order my 2009 135i. I told them I would pay $500 over invoice and they agreed. I will also be paying Maco/training fees, which is unavoidable it seems. None of the dealerships would budge on that. I will be trading in my 2005 STi for a:

135i Space Grey/black leatherette
Navi
Comfort access
iPod/USB
Sport package
6spd
$38,865

Is that a good deal?

Sounds like the same deal I got. Its a good one as long as you don't get roped into anything else such as documentary fees, other warranties, vin etching ,etc.

What are they giving you for a trade in price on the STI?

I just tried a trade in and they offered me 22k for my 2008! I laughed

mbrunner, one dealer offered me $19,500, but that was over the phone. I will see if I can get $21k for it from this current dealer.
