so do you think then if i have this remap the turbo gonna go, i do have a heavy foot, they wrote such a good write up on this in the bmw car mag

Euro 323i/523i have a differnt intake from the 325i/525i and different programming.

So on the X23i engines you dont have the intake or the intake adjuster motors their wiring or the ECU programming.

So it would cost you more to try and modify them using custom made software and inakes than it would to just buy the bigger one in the first place.


Its the same situaion as the USA 325i and 330i

I wouldn't worry about the turbo that much as long as you drive the car properly. For my diesel that means letting the oil warm up to the right temperature before I start pushing the gas more. The same for letting it cool down. My basic suggestion would be for the first or last kms of your trip keep rpms below 2.000 and your turbo will do fine.
other question is the clutch, however once again wouldn't worry about it as long as you don't tune up too much (btw. 25% extra looks quite a lot to me...).
