128i 8.5 front wheels

I'm trying to find out if 225 on an 8.5 40 inset will fit in the front stock. It has m sport suspension right now. Quick not too accurate measurement shows about 25mm from outer edge of fender to edge of rim while fitment calculators show going up to this size sticks out 26mm more than stock.
I saw somewhere about 8.5 fronts but I can't find it anymore

I have ARC-8 18-inch front wheels 8.5 inches wide with 45mm offset and I'm currently running 225/40x18 fronts with no issues. They don't appear to be such a tight fit that 5mm less offset would cause contact with the fender.
