Shorter Drop Links For Lowered E82

Hello everyone, I recently lowered my 2011 E82 with the Bilstein B12 lowering kit which comes with Eibach springs that drop the car by 40mm.

In the past week, I have started hearing a strange noise from the suspension when I would turn right. When I reversed into my driveway last night I heard a loud noise and found one of my drop links that had snapped and fallen out on my driveway.

I need to get them replaced and I was wondering since I've lowered my E82, do I need to install shorter drop links to the car to deal with the increased stress on them to prevent this from happening again.

There are marks all over the top of it where it's been banging against other parts.

Thanks.

I wondered the same thing. I put on the B12 kit and then new M3 front stabilizer bar with new links. I just went with standard Meyle - https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...end-link-left/ - but wondered if different lengths would be a good idea. No problems or issues so far.

Endlinks with the correct length really do help the ARB work better. I've adjustable fronts on my car. They are best adjusted on the car to eliminate pre-load on the arb.

The way to do the adjustment has been covered on here - if I can find it I'll link it
