Project showroom fresh continues.

Deep cleaned the seats and steering wheel, door cards, window switches and stalks. Well, really any surface that's been touched by people other than me over the years.
HUGE difference. Leather and vinyl surfaces look essentially new.

Carpro "Inside" dedicated leather cleaner, a soft detail brush for agitating, and a clean cloth to wipe away the residue.

More project showroom fresh.

New mats.

Took care of some wear on the outer driver's bolster.

Installed LCI headlight switch with rear fog button.
Thought the aluminum accent matched well with the recently installed glacier trim.

Lol, we seem to be doing a lot of the same little projects. you call it Project: Showroom Fresh. I think of mine as more like Project: OEM Plus. I've been putting back in a number of features that BMW eliminated over the years. I've installed the Euro Safety Triangle on the trunk lid and the tie-down hooks on the trunk floor. I retrofitted the power lumbar supports into my manual sport seats. I even replaced the centre armrest: it's Sensatec in all of the coupes, but it's leather in the convertibles, so I sourced one for an e88.

Nice!
I was wondering about the vinyl arm rest.
Got me thinking about the triangle too.

I’m an oem+ fan.

Next up, bmw PE install. Waiting for my shift kit to arrive, do them both at once.
Replace cracked third brake light too and rear emblem, which seems to have a bit of oxidation.

Come fall, respray and ppf the front bumper, and replace the rubber flaps.

Cool, what did you use to touch up the seat bolster?
And do you have a parts list for the spare tire? Got stuck waiting 3.5hours for a tow last summer and definitely don't need to experience that again...

Also, hey fellow engineer - loving these updates

My third brake light is cracked right in the middle and I can’t really figure out how anyone managed to do that. Rear roundel has that corrosion on the edges as well.

Seems to be a common failure point, poorly designed part.
Make sure to buy the new replacement springs, do not reuse the original fasteners. I guess they're weaker springs, reducing stress on the part, keeping it from cracking.

I ordered some Carpro Inside, and got pretty much the same results as you did. The seats didn't look especially dirty, but now they look practically brand new. The driver side bolster needs one more round of cleaning. I have a dye kit on order, coming from the UK.

Looks great! Driver's side bolster and seat bottom both needed two rounds of cleaning for me as well.
I ordered the scratch doctor / coral red touch up kit from the UK - to repair the wear spots on the driver's left side bolster.

I'll get that for ya... give me a few.

To make it simpler, find a 17" spare from an E60, and a jack from an E46 or E60.
The chock and wrench can be whatever you like.
Actually, I just picked up a short breaker with a socket and extension... not sure I like the looks of the factory wrench.

Replaced cracked third brake light, replaced corroding rear trunk badge, and swapped in the clutch bump-stop.

Looking good! How many rubber spacers are you using on the bump stop?
