Best trunk liner and weather mats

Hi everyone, wondering who makes the best trunk liner and weather mats for the 1 series? My trunk and floors are constantly full of dirt, grass, etc and it would be nice (especially in the trunk) to not have to vacuum the carpets all the time and save on cleaning. I am aware of Weathertec products which don't appear to have a high liner above the floor. I have Tuxmats in another car but it is a local company here in Toronto which does not make mats for the 1 series due to age of the car and low comparative volume.

I actually love the OEM rubber mats. But - have to order them from Europe, they're all out of stock in North America it seems. Or, at least I couoldn't find them.

And... I was going to add a link to Schmeidmann, where I got them, but they are out as well!

Do they have OEM trunk mats as well?

Also I have OEM BMW winter carpet mats and while they are comfortable they do not protect the sides and corners near the pedals from salt accumulation.

There is not a mat/liner made that prevents the bottom of the accelerator peddle from getting that salt buildup. Just plan on removing it every Spring to do a good cleaning.

I have the 3Dmaxpider mats in my car. They don't fit perfect. But for the money and how well they do work, I think they are worth it. Buy for the E90 and they are pretty dang close. Passenger side is the oddball, but visually you won't tell. Drivers side fits almost perfect.

Far as a trunk mat/protection; you could just use that carpet cover film dealerships use. It'd be something cheap and easy to clean.

The rubber ones won't either. I'm in MN, we get a lot of snow here as well. I drive the X3 for that and have the Weathertech for it that go up the sides and can hold like a gallon of water haha. The rubber ones I have for the 1 can't do anything nearly like that. Works for me since It's parked anytime the roads aren't crystal clear but for you, yeah, sorry but even if they were in stock they wouldn't work so wasn't a good suggestion.

Yes. I have the OEM trunk mat. It's one big single piece. I also have the OEM roll out bumper skirt to protect the bumper when you're loading and unloading things from the trunk.

The all-weather F22 mats are ALMOST a perfect fit. Close enough that no one would tell, anyway. I got the M Performance all-weather F22 mats for around $100 total, and they're readily available.

Is the OEM trunk mat good enough to keep all dirt and debris off the carpet underneath?

Yes. It has a decently high lip that goes around the entire mat. The mat is also rubber and one big single piece. The mat covers the entire trunk floor excluding the two cubbies in the fender well on both sides.

As for the salt under the accelerator… poor some near boiling hot water on it and rub it out with a towel… works like a charm

The OEM rubber mats are by far the best. I have Weathertech mats on my wife's Toyota and they are excellent. I've used cocoa mats previously on my E85 and other cars, they are good looking and do a good job.

This is what I do. But I worry that the salt and water will seep underneath and do some damage. I do followup with a wet vac of course.

I'm wondering if Tuxmat has F22 mats if they'll also fit. Will inquire.

For the trunk mats I ended up ordering Weathertech. Just finally want to have clean trunk carpets.

Those that bought the F22 floor mats, does the mats come with the velcro on the backside? If so, do they line up with the location of the corresponding velcro piece in our cars?

I bought the Weathertech trunk mat and bumper protector. Pricey. So far so good but the right cargo net pocket is not covered. C'est la vie.

Will try to get the Tux mat crew to fit F22 mats to my car closer to winter time!
