Congrats man! It was 16.5 when you posted, 30 minutes left to go on the auction.
It's over 20 now, 20 minutes later.
16.5 was already a good deal, now you're just splurging. I know there's a cost with BaT, but kudos man.

Thanks Esteban! I think it went for a fair price. Someone got a solid deal. I was offering the car locally for close to that price before listing on BaT so I am happy

Great plan!

I like how they hid the screw heads in the nubs.

I try to heel-and-toe / blip every downshift, but notice when I'm in a rush, or stopping very hard, the pedal alignment is off. When I need it most, I'm unable to perform the blip. Those extensions could help.
With my size 12 clogs, though, I'd probably hit both inadvertently all the time.
(Sometimes, when wearing boots, the sole will graze the brake pedal as I activate the clutch. Passengers love it...)

This is FANTASTIC! Where did you buy?

I destroyed my plastic dead-pedal footrest trying to peel back the carpet to replace my hood release cable, and this would clean that area up nicely.

Question: are the red gas pedal extensions removable? I have a ridiculously wide foot so those probably aren't even necessary for me.

From Rennline. You can get the accelerator without the extensions.

Finally got it!

Just wrote up about it here , so check that out.

I will be starting a thread about a couple things I want to do to the car, but after 1,400 miles I think I can confidently say, we love the car

the hydraulic steering, the shorter wheelbase, and feel of the NA n51 is really something different from my f32 428i.

It will be a fun side project to make sure the girlfriend is happy, so please leave any suggestions in my thread if you see it!

Thanks to all the forum members that made this happen, hope to be seeing y'all around

I decided to take my mind off the shitfest that was F1 this weekend and finish correcting/detailing my car. Not bad for 12-year-old paint. One of these days I'll have the hood repainted to get rid of all the rock chips.

Took advantage of the Apex Black Friday sale and ordered a set of these for Little Red:

They won't be going onto the car until Spring/Summer. I will keep the Style 256s that it came with (and which I put Sumitomo All-Seasons onto) for a winter wheel/tire set. I will put summer tires on the Arc-8s for spirited warm-weather driving and some track nights at New Jersey Motorsports Park, so won't need them for a few months. Also want to get the suspension changed out before putting on the Summer wheel/tire set. Apex does not put these on sale often - I can't remember a sale other than Black Friday - so I grabbed them when the sale was on.

Picked it up from the shop.

Valve cover and gaskets. Wallet is not too happy with the 1er since it's been a pretty expensive Q4 for the 135i. Still better than a car payment over the year but given the current circumstances of being between houses, living in a hotel and eating out more than I'd like… it's a good thing I really like this car.

Oh and shop noted: "noted idler pulley noise at startup. Recommend belt & pulley replacement soon." What's the going rate for that one?

It's not so bad, probably 1-2h shop labour.
The parts aren't expensive. Though I recommend you buy a genuine BMW belt from the dealer, not aftermarket.
I've done mine with FCP parts but there's a weird noise still people attribute to the belt here.

I put my baby onto a flatbed to get fixed. The clutch pedal went to the floor and nothing happened. This allowed me to start work two hours late so there was a very minor positive to come out of this.. Diagnosis is still pending....
