BMW Performance parts prices in UK (some parts)
Hi everybody,
Today I managed to talk with some competent guy at one of the London's dealership about pricing for the BMW Performance parts. As you are all aware those are strictly dealership fitted parts and cannot be ordered with the new car as factory fitted options. Therefore before ordering my beemer in next couple of weeks I was curious about pricing for those accessories so I could decide if to take for example power seats or save on that towards the sporty bmw performance seats... Thats the introduction and now the facts: (these are more or less prices as it was phone conversation and I didn't noted endings Seats: £995 each Wheels (style 269) 18'': all set f and r around £1125 Rear Diffuser: £525 Front spliter: £110 each side And thats it for now not much but it took me 20 minutes to get those if I will get some more I will post it Hope it gives general idea about pricing for those parts. What do you think? Expensive? Spot on? Bargain ?

I looked at the catalogue then I saw the price list and two words came to mind.... RIP OFF!!
If you want real performance then an ECU mod and perhaps springs, and your done mate. Carbon fibre this and carbon fibre that, total bo$$ocks. BMW must think we are all mugs waiting with open wallets for so called "performance upgrades" No disrespect pavelitto, but if you mean real performance then the engine is the key and not plastic addons.

I agree with you as far as the actual performance of the car is concerned.
But if we talk about the looks, well you have to admit that the wheels which are not much more expensive than regular bmw 18''s (which is still expensive as it has bmw badge are stunning and the seats are sporty as hell and yet bmw made so no 3 party "so called tuning parts" involved.

Perhaps BMW should rename the catalogue "Cosmetic Changes"
Yep agree, I like the seats, but I would never forgive myself for throwing away a set of perfectly respectable leather alternatives (unless there was some kind of trade in for them)......

Well, at least here down under, BMW will also be selling the air intake, performance brakes, suspension upgrades, short shift lever and of course you have the beautiful cf spoilers, mirriors and rear diffuser, but I reckon you can get it cheaper from the US and then fit them into the car.

I am interested in how much the carbon spoiler would be, though i am not suure how it would look on the Sedona Red, Since i have the 123d i have no rear spoiler and i do want to get something for the boot lid and i really like the shape of the carbon spoiler, but i would most like it made from plastic and painted to match the car!!!!
Also i am slightly surprised by the cost of the wheels, i would have put them at about £500 per corner!

I thought about getting form US but the shipment is just to high (each wheel 300$ and the cost of wheel itself 350... and the uk customs will halt it for tax and duty... But some of the parts are not even cheaper in US. For example the rear diffuser is about 1300 dollars while here it is £520. the little bits and pieces might work out cheaper though.

I bought the shadowline grills from Dan@United (imported from US) and even with customs they were cheaper (cost me a total £80-£90).
I am really considering the exhaust too, but not got a US $ price yet.

I don't know what to do... Get the terra or coral leather with electric adjustment or black leather without adjustment and change the seats for the performance
price of one performance seat=electric adjustment

I am deff going to order a spolier as thats cheaper than i was expecting it to be. But i will order it and have a look at how it looks with Sedona before i actually pay for it.
Anyone have any opinions about Carbon against Sedona???

Yes the mag is out, I have it in front of me. Remember the prices do NOT include fitting, also the garage charges may differ depending on hourly rates to fit this stuff.... My Local garage charge £120 an hour.

I talked to my dealer today and he said that the difference is because of fitting charge which vary across country. But charging 100£ to fit two mirror caps is ridiculous!!
