So i call bmw na and ask to speak to someone and they said that it is still going through quality control and is ready to be put on a rail car any day now, but last week "Joyce" told me that it was being transported to the port of exit. It is probably on it's way by Rail to Northern Germany to get on the transport ship. You can check this out on the cargo tracking web site - use your VIN Number.

Ok. At this point you are going to need to take a very deep breath and focus on being calm. I say that not to patronize you but because many of us have gone through this very same thing.
For example, after Euro Delivery I was told by the shipper that my car arrived and was offloaded on Dec 8th 2008. When did I get my car? Dec 23rd? During that time, my dealer still showed my car as "in transit" to the port. When they checked again the response was "We don't know where your car is." There appear to be certain points in the logistical flow where BMW dealers and probably BMW themselves lose visibility to the actual location of a specific vehicle. They seem to know in generality where it is supposed to be or its destination, but that's about that. I know that very little of this helps someone who just wants their darn car. All I can do, is advise you to find something to take your mind off of it if you can (though that didn't really work for me and I suffered every minute ). And of course, the world-wide financial meltdown with its various delays and slow downs haven't helped matters much either. Just hang in there and it will come. It will be beautiful and wonderful and it will be worth the wait. We're all here for you. |

Okay, so I was supposed to be picking up my 135i this Saturday but when I contacted my Dealer and asked why the BMWNA still says that it's waiting for transportation, he told me that after sending an email to Munich they had not been able to transport the vehicle for some unknown reasons to me. Anyway, my car will be delayed a whole seven days.
My dealer said he is going to think of something to make it up to me, however. :drinking: |
