Silverstone MotoGP

Any MotoGP fans in the house? Lorenzo's looking strong (boo!), The Repsol team is crying about bumpy track conditions and then we have Cruthclow and Smith all up in the mix...

any thoughts?

Marquez is matching Lorenzo blow for blow, i see a repeat of Brno on the cards, although i don't see Pedrosa being there this time.
Moto2 looks like it should be a cracking race too, i know Scott missed pole but he was looking good in qualifying.

I've been watching MotoGP since 2005, so you're definitely not the only one on this
forum!

Marquez is absolutely stunning. Dare I say he'd be beating Stoner at his own game if Casey were still out there.

Silverstone podium will be your typical Marquez, Lorenzo, Pedrosa affair.

As much as I love Vale, I think it's time for him to consider hanging it up.

I'm rooting for Cal Crutchlow to pull one out of the hat.

FYI Silverstone has already come and gone, this weekend is Misano.
I won't spoil anything incase you missed it, but Misano is looking good for all of the top 4 tomorrow. Hopefully it will be as good as Silverstone.

No worries, i thought i'd give you a chance to watch Silverstone before i spoilt the race.
I dunno though if Rossi can get a start i think he'll be on for a podium, Pedrosa hasn't been on it this weekend and after Silverstone i think the Yamaha's should have the pace at the end of the race.

I read Yamaha is trying a new seamless gearbox for the first time this weekend. If Rossi gets a good start he might be on the podium, but I really think his days of charging through the field from P12 are over with, especially with guys like Lorenzo and Marquez out there.

well said
a lot of people around my area dislike Honda bike, they're Yamaha fan boys I ride a Suzuki myself. I must say Marquez is a monster, he is still learning and only getting better. Lorenzo is a great rider as well i surely give him that.

Yep, that what's so incredible about what he's doing this year in the premier class.

He's a rookie, and he's still learning. And he's this good, right out of the gate.

Time will tell if he's able to develop a bike and keep it on top, or if he's just riding something that Stoner perfected over the years he was with Honda.

that was a darn good battle with pedrosa and marquez this weekend...as far as Lorenzo, meh...yes he's like butter...but he's just so personally unlikeable for me. Marquez really seems to have the best of qualities of many riders, fast and agressive like rossi in his youth, a touch of crazyness like marco, a bit of stoner thrown in there (plus I think he looks like a mixture of stoner and pedrosa), and he's got that rossi charm and star quality...it'll be exciting to see how the rest of his career unfolds.

I just watched Italy that was a good race!
Pedrosa dominated the entire time and that Marquez/Lorenzo back and forth at the end was exciting

I keep hoping Rossi will get back to his old self, but that's going to be tough with a fast kid like Marquez to compete with.

As long as Pedrosa leaves MotoGP without a championship, I will be happy.

I like Pedrosa although I could see - after a series of letdowns, year after year, due to injury - why someone might be angry with him LOL
Now with his teammate dominating the poles he is perpetually 2nd best

I still want to rip his midget head off for this.

Hope he continues to have bad karma for the remainder of his MotoGP career.

He has more motogp championships than Pedrosa's midget b*tch ass.

Hopefully Marquez continues to rise and pushes Pedrosa completely out. I was at COTA when Marquez won his first face, saw him make the pass for the lead. He is a cool kid.

I've actually come round to liking Pedrosa, i was hoping he'd win the title this year to make thing interesting. (Not that Marquez isn't interesting)
I think he just needs to sort his head out, especially after his injury. The way he ended last year showed he has promise he just needs to stay healthy and get his head in the game.
