AA FMIC Fitment

Hi All,
I recently decided to go with active autowerke for my FMIC based on their great reputation. I went with the sport edition as this is my daily and will never see the track.

Quality seems great, but after getting it bolted up, the pipes don't seem to properly line up with the lower fmic charge pipe connection. I have a 2011 N55 and I did select the 135i 2009+ option when ordering so I should have the right piping. We were able to get it to fit with some effort, but the silicon coupler is noticeably bent and I'm not sure how much of a problem that will be?

Anyone else that has the AA sport on a 09+ did you have this issue?

Looks like the coupler just needs to be seated further down on piping?
Had a similar issue while installing my vrsf 7' fmic on my n54

There isn't really any slack to seat it further down. I know there is slack on the top part, but on the bottom if I move it further on one of the pipes it will move off the other. It's pretty much centered currently.

Yea so I'm pretty sure the fitment issue is because I have an ER charge pipe and the angle of the charge pipe is a little different than stock. I remember when installing the charge pipe I had to bend the stock intercooler pipe quite a bit to get it to fit.

We ended up cutting about an inch off of the ER charge pipe which caused the angle to get better. It still isn't perfectly straight, but it's close enough so it shouldn't cause any issues in terms of performance.
