The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is not knowing how difficult it is to pull the center console trim apart.

Does the trim piece around the shifter, and the ashtray area just pop out?

I am interested in buying but have a quick question . I have the base silver looking trim on my 2010 135 that has texture already. Do I apply this on top of that ? wont it look "weird" with the texture of the silver piece underneath with the CF texture on top.

This is fabric material, it will cover up your texture no problem. =)

the trim piece around the shifter just pops out, as for the ash tray. its a tedious process which I haven't done yet. You have to remove the entire center console!!

Also, be careful, I broke 3 clips from my door trim trying to put it back in. Removing it is easy, putting it back in is HARD. I don't know what I am going to do about it since it jiggles and doesnt fit flush....

Also, my fabric started ripping on one of the corners of the long middle trim piece, so I will probably have to redo it. I think I may have overstretched it!

I have the base silver too. If I do it I may just leave the section with the ash tray alone. I don't think it will look to bad.

So, from an appearence and durability standpoint, price being a non-issue, which is generally accepted as better for interior wrapping, the fabric or the DiNoc

Carbon Fiber Fabric is best for Interior Trim Wrapping. 3M Dinoc is best for Exterior Wrapping... hope this help ~

just to make sure this will install just as easily on the textured silver trim in a 135i? Thought i read somewhere that it wont adhere as well because it's not a smooth surface.
