I can't imagine anything worse! I reckon there's some good stuff in between paying private school fees and being dead.

I've got all my cars insured with Shannons and they don't meet those rules.

Try again. I've had no issues with them since I was 18(23 now).
Just need the right person, and being a club member with clean driving history helps. These were far from standard cars to.... |

Choosing insurance IMO is all about finding the company that's pricing criteria / questions work in your favour. For example places like The Buzz Insurance don't charge extra for mods but instead have a modification excess. I.e. If you have a crash in a stock car your excess may only be $500 but if it's modified it may be $1500 (it depends on the level of mods). Might be worthwhile giving them a try, you can get a quote based on car, postcode and age. Based on 1st of April 1986, your car and perth I got $1,400. Not sure how that compares.. |

I was never happy with AAMI, being in the industry I had heard more bad than good out of them. NRMA is known to be pretty good come claim time and were offering a promo where they beat anyone by 10%. I ended up insuring a (albeit slightly) modified 325ci with NRMA at the age of 20 for $600 p.a. (not a bad deal!) I've also insured my contents with the buzz and have recently renewed with them. The reason I chose them is because they are underwritten by IAG (NRMA), offer choice of repairer and have a really clear PDS. They also offered competitive pricing at the time. As mentioned I'm now with NRMA who I would also recommend looking at. As with all insurance and it's always important to actually read your PDS (yes you should listen to the guy reading really fast at the end of every insurance ad) before buying a policy AND BEFORE CLAIMING. I can't stress the claiming element more. I stress this even more for modified vehicles like yours. PS: No I don't work for NRMA, they are our competition but there is no way we would insure you Rai! |

Shannon's are worth it, I have the Porka's insured with them.
They pay no questions asked. The assessor comes out, looks at it and its not a problem in the world. |
