Ahhh I thought you were still using the premix off that site you mentioned a while back

Well technically it's still the premix from Automotive Touchup. Just in their ready to spray pint cans instead of aerosol cans.

Regardless, it looks fantastic!

Update from past couple weeks. Paint has been wet sanded, compounded and polished. Waiting a couple more weeks before I put sealant on the new paint.

Took it out for a nice drive today to charge the battery back up from sitting so long.

Finally getting around to posting pictures after a few days of driving.

Up next will probably be taking care of some maintenance items. Coolant flush, DCT fluid & filters, installing Slon Workshop DCT Pan.

Also going to start working on research for the Carbon Driveshaft and E9X DCT Differential install. Learning why a lot of time attack cars avoided the stiffer 1M/M3 rear sway bar without a proper LSD.

Wow man, it looks insanely good. I can't believe how nice that front end looks!! Also nice job on the paint!!!

Would you be able to do a string/stand test on the wheel alignment? I'm curious how the back wheels sit in relation to the front now, as far as overall width goes. Looks square to me but hard to tell in pics.

Unrelated, how do you get your flickr links to not include the "photo by blah blah" with all the extra text? Or do you just remove it manually?

Thanks! I did the string/stand to do my initial wheel alignment. From memory it's pretty square; but don't have any official measurements of the offset between front and back. Once I get the car aligned by BMW sometime this month I will likely try to measure it again with the string/stand. That way I have the measurements for future diy alignments. So I will measure that for you.

- yea I just delete that part of the embed.

Cool I'm curious about that. I'm heavily considering doing the M front end and leaving the rear for a while like you have done, it looks much better than I ever expected.

And cool I don't know why they think i need the extra embed text. Considering I pay for the service now you'd think they'd let me set it to not add my own name to my own posts lol

The embed thing is annoying. I tend to go to the share screen where you can choose any size, then right-click and pick “copy image location”, then paste that as an image link on here. It’s a little more anonymous that way since the link doesn’t have your username in it.

I don't even care about it having my username, it just looks messy with all the extra text lol. (sorry to derail the thread Yeineken )

18x9.5 et45 with PSS 255's. Rubs a tad bit on hard road imperfections/dips.

Looks like we are going to be twins almost haha. I plan in the next month or so to do rieger diffuser and Akra exhaust. Question for you, when doing the battery conversion did you go oem spec as per tun3ds guide? Scavenger air line etc??

Yup! Worked perfectly with his guide.

Can't wait to see the car done like mine. I can't wait to start working on the rear body in the future.

Good to know!! I have purchased prior designs rear widenings instead of oem. My rear will come together in time. There may be an s55 in the works

Feels like forever since I've worked on the car!

Now that the weathers warming up I'm going to start working on this again with some maintenance and detailing. DCT oil and cover, Diff oil and 650i cover, Oil change and power steering fluid + 1M fluid reservoir upgrade.

Also now that the suspension is sorted I might upgrade the 255 squared setup to 265 square for a little more grip and less stretch on the tries/rims.
