It's almost time for hibernation... but I'm still driving this beast.

Two of my friends and I got our own shop space a month or two ago. We were all running out of room in our own garages and were sick of doing projects/side-work at home without a lift. Found a big building with a lot of garage space and finished space. It was a mess and very dark/dirty. Here is just a fraction of the space before/after.

This pack of 8 LED shop lights really helped brighten up the place. If I were to do it again, I would just go ahead and order the 12 pack. Great lights for the price, IMO. Still a ways to go as far as cleaning, improving and remodeling.

The plan is to do cash jobs to help foot the rent bill every month, that way we have a shop/lift/tire machine at our disposal for our own projects.

Excellent! Although I was already envious of your oversized home garage!

You seem pretty good at vlog style videos. If I were you, I'd join the YouTube car movement and just start adding videos to your channel of repairs/mods you do on anything and everything at this place. I bet you could pay for that place off monetizing those videos over time.

Wow that's an awesome setup! Man, I wish a place like this could be had in my area, the DC property market is not kind to wallets lol

Garage List
2009 BMW 128i  [5.00]
That's awesome. If the market there supports it, you could rent-out lift/garage space and the more complex tools (tire balancer and mounter, etc.) and run a DIY shop like you'd see in Europe, or like CCA does (but free) at dealers on weekends. I think Tavarish is starting something like that in Central Florida...

BTW, I love your YouTube videos. Awesome quality, awesome content (the 1'er).

Maybe do some N52/N51 gear in your store?

Thanks man! That's the plan, for everything BMW related. Maybe my viewers would like some LS-based content, but I'm not too sure.

We just did an oil pan gasket/downpipe install last weekend. I didn't take video, but I took a ton of pictures: https://www.flickr.com/photos/_spyder/?

Hopefully in the future I'll be more prepared to do video, it just sucks up a lot of time to always film!

Yeah, I can only imagine lol. For how big this building is, I think we're getting a decent deal on it. Still not dirt cheap, though.

The thought has crossed our minds, but we don't want to be liable or there 24/7 to monitor others working on their stuff.

I appreciate the support and kind words! I don't have a lot of time to design new shirts right now, but when I do, I'll try to work something in for the 128i/328i guys

It's been a while since I uploaded a YouTube video, so I gave a brief update on everything about a week ago:

I also uploaded my step-by-step guide to flipping cars, if you're interested in that. It's on my channel as of yesterday!

Very informative video! My family owns a small dealership and I have access to auctions both locally and nationwide. I may start trying to pick up 3-4 BMWs with N54s in them, just because I'm so familiar, and try to turn a profit for more mod money as you mention.

Looking forward to seeing more footage of the new shop space! Still jealous of your home garage though.
