Suspension shop in Sydney - labour only

Hi guys. Looking for recommendations of a suspension shop or mechanic in Sydney to revert setup my e82 from eibach to stock springs. Reason is principally to soften the ride through the potholes of this city!

I have the original springs so looking for labour only. Located Eastern Suburbs. I had an indication from a local BMW indy of a whole day's labour and ~$900, which i thought was a bit on the nose.

Cheers

That sort of work I'd give to our corner mechanic who operates out of a shed behind the BP.

He's a one guy shop who I trust to be able to look up the torque specs in the book and pay sufficient care and attention to follow the specs.

It's not rocket science, and it's exactly the sort of work I don't think should attract a BMW surcharge. ... and it saves me having to get a taxi to and from a specialist shop.

I agree. I am in two minds on whether to buy a quality spring compressor and do it myself. I just prefer to get my weekends, plus i will need to fork out for an alignment in any case.

If you care about torque specs then most shops won't replace the fasteners that are supposed to be replaced either. Unless you request or supply them.

Perhaps you need better/new shocks?

I used to pay $350 cash for spring install only at one of the old sponsors on here. Call around to the smaller specialisation shops, they'll do it for under $500 easily.

Or spend $100 on tools at SCA and DIY.
