The kit will fit 335 nicely. Looks like Marty has a new 335 drag car project, so we can now include this task too without much trouble:-)

Only difference will be the 3 series interface with mids compared with N54 / N55.

Fabricator has been busy with his main work but is just about finished the section where the mids have to meet the big single dump and waste-gate. We are also taking the opportunity to drop in some 100 cells cats back in my N55 mids.

Hey mate,

the kit will definitely fit a 335i, 100% guaranteed.

As for pricing I haven't crunched all the numbers yet, but I can say it will be well North of $10K AUD.

Yes I am aware that will limit my potential market somewhat, but this is a no compromise kit that properly overcomes all the issues associated with painful RHD fitment whilst supporting 550+rwkW.

Oh and last but not least it will feature a Garrett GTX Gen ll dual ceramic ball bearing turbocharger that will be super reliable. Rated at 1,000hp worth of flow I dare say your engine is far more likely to fall over before the turbo ever well, lol.

Cheers,

JD.

Are we there yet? ;-)

This is going to be something that redefines RHD upper power limits. The limiting factor will just be the motor and how much you have to dial it back.

Nice work.

There is no way you can run this turbo to its full potential, you would be lucky if you hit 60% before the stock motor let go or the auto trans.

Its definitely going to be extremely reliable option and far easier to tune especially with the current developments happening in the tuning side of things

The fabricator hasn't got much to go and that's the hold up.

Good luck with finishing off the kit boys great to see a RHD kit being made available, I'm guessing it will be $15-20k installed?

JD75 will sort out final pricing and kit availability.

We are just waiting for the fabricator to get through some work load. The finished kit has been on the cusp since January, so there is bugger all to do. Its looking very good indeed.

The next hold up will be replicating the final kit as I changed to the Garrett GTX at the last moment over the previous Motiv Garrett Hybrid turbo.

You'd have to think pricing will be in the $15k range due to component costs.

Well worth the money after wasting so much on hybrid twins and add on stuff to make them go hard.

Awesome build thread, I'm researching ST options as I intending to replace stock twins, and after reading this thread, going ST might be a better option. I did have a set budget in mind, but having considered the possible issues and costs of issues, it may be worth it to spend a bit more now for peace of mind. I like the idea that the parts used could be serviced and replaced locally and by most good shops, and not have the expense of shipping and waiting for parts and labour. I will research further and assess my budget and see what's more plausible for my circumstances.

The largest low mount turbo we can squeeze in deserves the biggest inter-cooler as well.

So, martymil has been a busy bee developing this monster IC solution with a proper mounting system that doesn't mean chopping out the bumper and grills. Naturally there is some trimming to the plastic radiator shroud.

The final solution is amazing and will be made available through JD75 who has dabbled with other iterations of the big IC, small hole problem.

See some initial pics below.

The whole kit is plug and play and no custom work is needed, it took around a 100 hrs of R & D to get this kit right and it's far superior to anything available on the market

I still have a little bit of work left to be done and want to get flow testing done and dyno results

If everything goes according to plan it will be available by the end of march

The first production kit will be ready today and has been spoken for and will be tested against the wagner evo comp 2

A lot of r&d has gone into this kit so it will be compatible with any turbo charger, inlet manifold setup

It will fit e82 and e92 platforms

There is also a bigger version coming for the e92 rated up to 1500hp but that's a few months away.

Huge job and effort Marty for a thoroughly developed and engineered kit. Massive IC solution for the big power cars and racers. Shame the 135 wont allow the 1500hp cooler on board like the 335.

I think that makes 3 kits gone now including mine.

Is there even any 750hp n54s in Australia?

I assume this blocks airflow to the radiator?

There will be in the near future, we are actually not far off that now with maxed out hybrid twins, lol.

A properly designed tube and fin core will not impede airflow through the radiator core or lessen the efficiency of the cooling system.

Well we done some dyno runs today and the results where extremely impressive but I'll have to let jd75 make the announcement and see if he wants to start a new proper thread

With the new mounting kit the cooler looks fantastic

It certainly got a lot of attention from a few customers today with very positive comments

Hey guys,

a few pics of the custom tube and fin intercooler out of the car and a comparison to our ridiculous OEM cooler just for shits and giggles, lol.

FYI,

this thing kicks arse even on the dyno with regards IAT suppression, with a 400rwkW car the biggest increase we saw from the start of the run to the end was a rise of 20 degrees Fahrenheit. After 5 consecutive back to back runs all at 400rwkW the IAT rise was only 30f in total. On the road with cooler air being forced through the core at speed I'm certain the results will be even better.

The same car we did the dyno testing on will be entering another roll racing event soon where he was previously seeing IAT's rise considerably during a 3rd to 4th gear pull on a mild 20 degrees Celsius night with the use of a Wagner Evo 2 Competition cooler.

Stay tuned for further testing with on-road results to come...

Lets not forget the car in question sat on the dyno for over half hr, did 5 back to back runs, sat for 15 min idling and then another 5 back to back runs.

10 runs in total and over half an hr heat soaking and only a rise of 30f from the beginning to end.

Not too shabby, I like to see another IC come even close to those results

Not going to happen full stop.
