Dude I dunno. I decided not to get real M mirrors for my conversion. Glass is too expensive and the inner (mount) upper piece breaks over time. Got some nice two toned mstyle mirrors from ebay and couldn't be happier. If they break it's $35 instead of $700 per side.

Was gonna wait until I washed the car but I'll take a photo of these Dumbo M style caps. They look great. New version addressed the upper limb angle being wrong and I really like the larger mirror real estate for a DD.

Now gotta do the rear quarters.

New mirror caps. Not perfect but good enough considering the alternative is $1k+ with parts that may break later requiring a new side mirror.

Thanks man! And it was pretty cheap, the wrap cost me $50 cash (it was leftover from a local wrap shop, they just happened to have recently wrapped a jeep in the exact color I wanted, 3M BR201 brushed steel) and then I personally suck at wrapping things but my roommate is really good at it, so he did it for me at no cost haha. It all went down super nicely, he said they were pretty easy pieces to wrap.

These are LCI dumbo caps despite the listing name.

Last Friday got my KW Clubsport 2Way finally installed and setup in the scales.

What a difference, combined with the M3 suspension control arms and 1M strut brace, it drives like a kart.

Had coil springs repainted in black to be more discreet for the local authorities and for the MOT.

Spent 3 days on and around Tail of the Dragon, hooning it up with all the Golf Rs. It was a complete blast, and the car was flawless.

Gotta replace one of my fuel float sensors. Gas gauge stops going down at 1/4, so I'm thinking that the saddle tank sensor is bad. Anyone have any experience replacing one on our cars? Found a YT vid of someone replacing one on an E92 (same procedure as replacing the fuel pump, but on the driver's side), and I'm crossing my fingers that it can be done the same way on our cars.

Replaced Xenon low-beams.
Bulb replacement took about 20 minutes for both.

Re-attaching passenger side cover was another 2 and a half hours.
But they both work, and no idiot light, so I guess it’s a win?

Wasnt that bad. I couldnt imaging putting a bigger turbo in though. Since no directions and no diy vids yet i did alot of backtracking and looking at the picture on the website. I wrote up a diy for a friend who is doing same kit with no pics as i figured out the correct order to put things in. If you go that route let me know ill send you a copy

M3 lower arms so I can run longer stroke shocks. Looking to get 8" of travel.

Also put in a 3.7 diff from auto 135i that had only 57k off eBay for $100 shipped!

Loving the lower ratio feel for better throttle response throughout the gears. Who needs to drive 100mph really.

Thanks. Late 90's 528i forged. Light and strong rims for rally. Using some winter van tires to train my dirt driving on.

Will get a set of rims for Hoosier race rally tires soon.
