I wonder if this is a street drive or track time.... I only wonder because it seems to take place in Germany. I think BMW has a loop in Garching outside M but nothing major elsewhere (outside the 'Ring facility).

The private test track is in France (Miramas), so it would seem there may a quick autobahn romp and maybe some time in the Alps but since it is November we should also pray for good weather, and temps to keep the PS2s warm! I do love Germany in Fall, especially when prototypes are involved.

It sounds like a lot of people are eagerly awaiting this drawing, can't wait for the outcome!

We have a private facility in Germany (Location is secret) It's where cars go to when they leave Munich. Internal testing is completed here first before the cars go public.
Miramas is not the main testing facility.

I signed up today. For anybody considering, it is a two step process. You must log into the closed room and then must apply to win the driving adventure. In the second step of the process they ask for a picture. I used one from Peformance Center delivery of my 128i vert. Seemed appropriate. Only takes a couple minutes. Only confusing part is the format for the birthday (that occurs in the first step, second step is very short).

I drove M3s, M5s, and M6s at M school (on the performance center track) a month or so ago. Seems only right that I drive the 1 series M. I can make a better comparison than most of you

UGH the suspense is killing me! Crossing my fingers! I'm actually taking a trip this weekend to Illinois to pick up an M Coupe and driving it back to LA. That would be PERFECT timing for them to let me know that I was chosen!

That's the one! Nice work South- similar to the setup in the US, a nice banked loop- good fun.

I also believe that like VW, BMW has an actual secret road course track though details are sketchy at best and I have never really looked into it.

That is one of them.
Speichersee is also used for preliminary marketing tests so we do test runs of shots to get the angles correct for production filming.
We also film some cars here , The Z4 Roadster sDrive35iS was filmed here.

But it's main purpose is to internally test the first prototypes built in Munich.
These prototypes test internally a few months before the disguised prototypes venture out in the public eye for the first time.
Speichersee also allows cars to be tested without disguise.
