Cool Some pics of my 330d M-sport

Hi All,

Picked up my Le Mans blue 330d M-Sport last week. The car had been neglected a little by the first owner and as a result needed the full Meguiars treatment. She has been Clay'd, cleaner wax'd and NXT'd.

Additionally, the calipers and bells needed painting as they were very rusty and let the whole car down. I also cleaned the suspension componentry under each arch! My wife thinks I'm nuts!

Here are some pics.....

Your nuts mate, but whose not I like your car very much, from the 3.0 liter diesel monster torque to the M-tech sports setup, you got it made bloke. I know you'll enjoy your E90 very well as we all do. Thanks for sharing, cheers

Congrats, fantastic combo! The first owner should be flayed alive for neglecting a car as nice as that

Thanks for the kind words. The more I drive the thing, the better it gets!

I just need to decide whether I get some AC Schnitzer bits, blacklights, BBS CH's etc, or if i just keep the standard look. Mmmm, decisions decisions....

Noooo! Don't pile a heap of junk on it, it looks great the way it is Well, maybe the blacklines, because they're OEM...

Hi Paul,

I know what you mean. I've been to BMW today, because they now do the carbon front splitters on the sport models, as well as a direct replacement in carbon for the rear grey bumper plastic. May go for those in the not too distant future, as well as the blacklines. All in all though, it's just over 800 quids worth of parts, so not cheap. There are pics of them on the other US motorshow thread. Have a look.

Cheers

IMHO [flame suit on] carbon fibre - even when it's OEM - looks absolute gash. The rear difuser isn't too bad, but those front splitters are for Chavs Even if you do buy genuine CF, everyone will assume it's a cheap immitation and if they do happen to realise it's the real stuff, they'll most likely rip it off your car & sell it on eBay. Just my €2

Paul,

You're probably right! May well leave it for a bit and see how things pan out.

063330i,

The diesel is great on gas. Averaging 41.5mpg at the moment. Did a motorway run at the weekend and got 170 miles from a 16 litres of fuel. That was mainly sitting on cruise control at 85mph with the odd blast up to 120 ish. Can't fault that kind of economy.

Cheers,
Matt

Paul,

Was on my local "test track" last night and the car certainly doesn't need any add ons to be considered speedy. 3 up at 152 mph and then cruising at 140mph with an indicated 30mpg on the "swing-o-meter". Car was very sure footed at speed and I guess that any tarty add-ons may just detract from the stability!

Cheers
