Tire pressures

Hey!

So i'm planning on buying new summer tires for my e87 123 2011. I read a lot about people switching from 215/40/18 front and 245/35/18 rear to 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear.
Could someone tell me what would be the recommended pressures for these tires, since on the door it ofcourse says only for the 215 and 245 sizes.

Thanks!

Interesting, would've expected a little different pressures due to staggered stance. Not noticing any extra wear on the sides or the middle of the tires?
Gonna also give this a try when its time to put the summers back on

It’s my daily driver and I get about 20k+ miles on the rears and 35k+ on the fronts (PS4S). NEVER rebalance and they wear “evenly” (other than the minor camber effect on the inside edge). Stock suspension replaced with Koni Yellows about 40k miles ago.

Tire pressure on the placard is a starting-point and a cover-your-ass legal document for the vehicle manufacturer. Tire pressure should always be adjusted to taste, just like seat and steering wheel position.

The Basics:

To decrease Oversteer
*Lower front tire pressure
*Raise rear tire pressure

To decrease Understeer
*Raise front tire pressure
*Lower rear tire pressure

Normally i would look at the placard, but since i oversized my tires from 215 front to 225 and rear 245 to 255, they don't have any numbers to go by. So i tried to look for something like a 3 series with similar weight and people with 135i/140i to get a good baseline to what people go for, then just tuning from there.
