"My Account" Won't "Verify" Address
Does anyone else have a problem with the website (when signing into "My Account") not being able to "verify" your address. I have tried our new home address and our condo in another state, and each time it says it can't "verify address" and therefore it rejects the registration (so I can't check on build status). Before I ordered my 135i vert, it said the same thing when I requested a brochure (little did I know at the time that one couldn't get a brochure anyway. Seems like the registration process is a "bit" too picky.
On order (week 19): 135i vert/cashmere silver/taupe leather/gray poplar/prem. pkg/sport pkg./cold weather pkg./auto/hi-fi/ipod/comfort

I had the same problem. I ended up using a different address that worked.

Jasp, your suggestion (adding the 4 digits in the zip code) worked like a charm. It finally accepted my registration and I could see the status of my beloved 135i vert (still in production, like I couldn't have guessed). Thanks for the suggestion!

That was only one of the problems I had. Whoever did the BMW's programming for the interface should be forced to re-register on the site at least 20 times as I did - maybe his future work will be more user friendly!

Lets let the car builders stick with what they're doing. I'd rather have them making cars than screwing around with a silly website. |

It made me enter the Zip+4 the first time, but it didn't remember the last 4 digits when it reverified me on the new site. And I tried to enter several times before I remembered what the hangup was last time. That's a really stupid reason to deny a registration.

Just to let everyone know, we're not alone in having trouble with the website. I spoke to one of the customer service personnel at the 1-800 number and he said they were having problems all day (themselves) accessing "My Account." They said they were given 1/2 hour training, and then left to their own devices. Great cars...but the website needs to go back to the shop.
