scratches under bumper
How many of you guys have kept your car front-bottom bumper scratch-free?
In my case, there are gazillions of scratches under the bumper and wonder what i should do about it. Go repair it or just leave it as you can't see it? I've seen some people put a mask under their front bumper but where do you get it and how much does it cost? |

Dude, I have so many under the front bumper already, it kills me to hear that scrape, but its going to happen. Maybe I will get them repaired one day, but for now I just live with it.

Got mine fixed. Cost was $500 for a repaint of the bumper. Insurance picked up all of it but $50 for deductible. Now that I know the bumber is so low, I am much more cautious. Looks like new! |

None. We've had plenty of low cars (lower than the E90) so we're careful.

I'm also a member of the multi-under-bumper scratch club.

i have a few minor ones from pulling out of a parking lot that had a pretty steep ramp. should have pulled out more sideways, luckily it was raining though and it helped my bumper slide along the ground. i feared it was really bad, but after washing the car it was mostly damage to the paint and you can't see it unless you are laying on the ground by the front of the car. cf splittes would cover it, which i'm considering doing (look pretty cool on black sapphire)
my sa @ the bmw store warned me about the clearance on the sports package. i'm definitely more aware of it now. |

Count me in.
Coming from a WRX , i was used to a pretty high ride height, and f*cked my 3's bumper up within a week on a blasted parking stopper. The funny thing is that the people that layed them down were cheap skates and only used half a stopper per space. So only the left side of the bumper is scratched up. But it still looks like shit on an alpine white car. |
