Question Floormats come with ED (135i)?

Can someone please confirm that floormats are included with ED? My CA tells me they are not (unless I order them separately). Also, the dealership policy is to deliver the car state inspected + emissions (2 separate stickers in PA), detailed and with full tank of gas = adds $270 to the total cost? Are those charges reasonable at all? Thanks.

The floor mat question has been covered in the past under some other thread.
But yes floormats are included with ED.

Thanks. I was just trying to confirm they are still included on ED cars. I've seen some posts going back to 2008 about *courtesy* mats BMW puts in the ED car (ones that disappear from the car when you pick up stateside unless you remove them and put them in you luggage) - is that how its done these days? Anyone with recent ED experience?

The euro delivery comes with standard carpet floormats; I bought rubber OEM mats while over there...though had to get the rear set in Munich and the front set in Salzburg...ya'd thin...ah, but I digress! Had to pack the rubber mats home in my luggage (heavy!) and will see if the OEM carpet mats are still in the car when it gets here...someday.

I would be interested in hearing whether or not they are still in the car when you pick it up - I've seen some conflicting reports on this...assuming your dealer isn't just going to put them in in case they are missing....mine CA actually had put put 'Does not include floormats' on the order form...

I've always understood the ED cars included floor mats, so I would not pay the dealer for them (at this point at least).

With regard to the $270 it sounds like a pack job to me. I think your response should depend on your deal terms including what other fees you're paying. If you're getting a very good deal on the car and that fee includes your doc prep it's not horribly excessive. My 135 came from PA which to my surprise is a capped doc fee state (at $100 IIRC), so it doesn't surprise me that some dealers there would try to charge you a "junk" fee of some sort. I would do some Googling or make a couple of phone calls to find out what the PA state fees are on a new car that can (or must) be collected. In NC a state inspection is $30 or so (no stickers anymore), and I can't remember if dealers here can pass on the cost of an initial inspection or if must be done at their expense as a term of sale. As far as their "detail" goes the dealer's contract with BMW requires them to prep the car and deliver it to the customer checked out and clean (not sure about the full tank of gas, if I was a betting man I would lay some $ that they have to deliver every car they sell full of fuel).

In other words, tell the dealer you're not willing to pay them to do what their franchise agreement with BMWNA already obligates them to do

Carpet floor mats were on my car at delivery and the same ones were in the car upon re-delivery. I'd say the dealer is trying to work you over a bit...

Enjoy your ED, it's an awesome experience!

And do you really need an emmisions inspection on a brand new car? Most states I've been in do not require that for two years.

I paid nothing at redelivery and the carpet mats were still in the car. RI doesn't need an inspection or emissions sticker for two years.

I called the dealer's service dept. and they do charge $98 for inspection and emissions. I also thought emissions aren't required on brand new car but they told me they have to do it regardless. I guess every state has different rules on that. And they agreed to drop the $70 on gas...

August 09 ED and the mats were in the car on redelivery at the PC in October. I got the rubber ones from my dealer when I got back here.
