well they already have the blueprint for a 3.0l V8.........Hmmmmm 10,000rpm.....Nah that would never happen.

Right, but they could make it sound *better* than the stock ///M3 if they want to. I doubt they will due to cost and emissions targets, but they could. My point is that turbo cars can sound good. I think that everyone has begun to think it can't be done and we'll just have to live with it.

There are basically 3 factors that determine the sound (given the fact that cylinder number and cylinder alignment are fixed): air intake, revolution speed/piston speed and exhaust. Air intake is heavily changed by adding one or more turbo chargers (you won't have independant air intakes per cylinder), max. revolution speed will be below 8k (simply because is's not needed to produce the desired power and torque with a turbocharged engine).

You will never get the V8 sound at 8.5k rev with an inline 6 engine at 7.5k ... but with a 3 litres I6 twin-scroill turbo you can get >= 450Nm torque between 2k and 6k rev ... more than the max. torque of a M3 GTS,

On a track I'd choose the M3 GTS, for public roads I'd choose the 1M

I don't want to rain on your parade. But a N54/N55 will never sound like an S65 High revving V8 period............................................ .........................! But this little car will pretty damn quick in the right hands.

You're not raining on my parade... I don't disagree with you on the above, but my point is that they can make it sound just as good if not better. I know it can't sound the same - two totally different configurations, piston speeds, compression ratios, etc. I think saying that a turbo car can't sound as good as the stock M3 is misleading - it can. Will it..? Your guess is as good as mine, but I wouldn't bet the farm.

Scott, can you give us an info on the brakes? Will it will be available with 18 inch wheels and a DCT? Finally, were they able to achieve any substantial weight savings from the 135 pig? Thanks.

Well he is speaking Hungarian. The guy basically just makes some observations about it's shape and sound. He really enjoyed the ride in the car. He doesn't give any useful inside info.
