Random Clutch(?) issue

Morning!

I picked up my 18 plate MSport Saturday morning and was over the moon with it. All was right with my little world!


Sunday - all fine (especially after finding out how to turn off the start/stop -
hate it!)

Monday - went out at lunch time - all was well parked up at home 2pm
went to go out after work 4.30ish - could not get it into reverse for
love nor money. Ended up having to turn off put in gear then start
the engine, it then wouldnt go into 1st so I had to pull away in 2nd
(with engine off it would engage into both no problem). So cried
and went to get my brother to try it in case it was me just being a
complete d*ck. He also struggled but after driving around for a
while it was working 'okay'

Tuesday - Thought Id try it early doors (8.30) before ringing the dealership
and it was absolutely fine!
Lunchtime - absolutely fine
After work - exactly the same issue no reverse no first. Drove
over to friends house and dumped it with her car savvy hubby in
disgust (who saw the issue first hand). Got a phone call about
20mins later to say it was now working fine (he didnt do anything
to it)

I am waiting for someone from the garage to ring me back. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas? The garage is 1hr 30mins from me and I don't feel confident driving it there so I'm hoping they will send someone but given the intermittent nature I don't want to be fobbed off with a 'well its working fine for us?'
